I have not been there although I hear it's a great park. In fact, before Labour Day weekend I had never met another Rangers fan (21 years, a long, lonely existence).

I have seen them play live 4 times in those 21 years, a win in Fenway in 1998, then two wins and a loss over Labour Day weekend.

As for the pit in my stomach, I never get used to it, but I love it, it's exactly why I watch sports, it's fun.
Great building, saw 3 games there a few years ago. Almost got a couple of foul balls. The stadium really seems huge when you're walking up to it. the Nolan Ryan statue is a nice touch.

Good games last night - thought the side view from the first base side of Mike Adams throwing with Nolan Ryan watching over the Rangers dugout was epic. Adams was busy walking the first two batters - while Ryan was busy pulling the remaining hair out of his head.

That pitchout still baffles me - Washington really does have a good idea on what is going on between the lines. Wasn't it something like a nine pitch AB already, and on a 1-2 count, Washington calls a pitchout and Napoli throws Upton out with ease. Completely changed the inning, as Longoria was able to battle back in the count, and draw a walk. Could have been runners on 1st and 2nd with none out. Completely different ball game if Upton isn't tossed out at 2nd.

Texas up 2-0 off a couple of solo HR's when napoli get's hit by a train on a play at home to make it 2-1 Texas. We have a the build up for a great game here!

Beltre is a beast today. If he gets another pitch today, the Rays should be fined.

Man, these short series scare the hell out of me.

I felt the comeback Rays, well, coming back.

Well, back to school work, if done early enough then I can drink & celebrate.

On a side note, I had a meeting halfway through the game, my girlfriend was texting me of what was going on.

My two favourite texts:

Beltray (sp) just hit another home run

and

Moustache man is now pitching

I appreciate you finding a woman that will watch the game and text you updates... where do you find them?

You would really appreciate the sleezy deal my wife made with me then. If Rays won I could go to Tampa to watch ALCS BUT...we would have to start trying for a child in February.

So bad news is Rangers won a great series on clutch hits with runners in scoring position (except for today when they decided to hit solo jacks) and the Rays failed to capitalize with RISP. Good news I guess is I don't have to have kids just yet!

As stated earlier I will not disappear pretending not to know the rays like mentioned earlier in the thread and can only hope they Yankees don't win or the Phils! Not sure who I want to win but I think I am leaning to the Brewers since this could be their only legit shot!

In all honesty I don't really know how it happened, or why she's with me. She volunteered to text me the updates while I was away, and this is after getting her a Flames jersey for our anniversary. Keep in mind she doesn't watch sports (or does against her will).

Perhaps it's that I don't complain through the two hours of Golden Girls she watches a day?

Either day, she's blessed with another series, and hockey season just around the corner! YAY!

Thanks, I have a soft spot for the Rays for the same reasons that everyone else does. I was cheering for them in the wildcard race (despite thinking that with Boston's pitching, or lack thereof they'd roll over and die) because I loved the excitement and well, it's a great story.

It still could be a movie, just end it after the Longoria home run or the 9-0 Game 1 win.

Yankees winning 4-1 in the 7th, I'm not impressed with the tigers line up tonight. Too many ice cold hitters just wasting outs.

Awesome day of baseball. I seriously watched baseball non-stop from 11 am until ~ 9 p.m., so sweet. Glad to see the Yankees-Tigers series go five games. Happy to see Tampa Bay out, that was a crazy collision at home plate. Happy to see D-Backs make a competitive series. Happy to see St. Louis lose because I for no real reason hate the Cardinals. Just love playoff baseball!!

Got my tickets for game 5 tomorrow. I'm not a crazy hardcore baseball fan, but I lived in Detroit for a bit so I'll be continuing to back the Tigers, although I stay relatively quiet to avoid being assaulted. Should be fun, baseball is pretty boring on TV until the fall when i get really into it so adding the live element and a game 5 should make for a great atmosphere.

What do they really expect with a 2 pm game on a tuesday! They need to build a new stadium! It worked for the giants it can work for the rays. It's time for them to put their money where their mouth is and just pay for it themselves
