Looks like the Wild have decided to keep Zucker.
Michael Russo @RussoHockey
All indications since the Draft is that the ship has sailed for now on trying to trade Jason Zucker, and starting today the #mnwild winger has more control.

Uh huh. OK kid, you roll with that. Worlds? I don't think so.

Are teams able to sign RFAs @ 1000 MT?

I think we sign Talbot and a 4th line winger to replace Hathaway today.
And then a couple of trades (Brodie, Stone) before Tkachuk gets signed on e they sort out how much that'll be later this week.

Offer sheets? Yes.
Teams can re-sign their own RFAs at any time.

Regardless, I'd much, much, much have another year of Neal maybe bouncing back than Lucic. Would have to be a hell of a sweetener.

Why wouldn't he waive it? It is meaningless, as he wouldn't get picked anyway. It's not the big deal it's made out to be IMO.

Waiving it for that means he's waived it in general I think, which sacrifices his control over where he plays after the expansion draft too, including him being traded somewhere he may not want to go or even be demoted to the AHL.
I agree he wouldn't be picked by Seattle anyway... Unless they just use him to reach the cap floor, haha.

I’d be fine if the Flames only move was Talbot today. Given BT’s free agent record.

No need to be a ######.. he isn't wrong. You are oblivious if you truly believe Monahan is better than Aho.

I'd be livid if I was Zucker. I would want out for them having wanted to trade me to multiple teams.

Going on what Mrs. Zucker has said on social media, it’s a safe bet they are unhappy in Minnesota.
I hope they get out of Minnesota.

Fair enough and I misread that so my apologies. I still don't agree with you though as I think Aho can carry a team on his back for an entire season. Don't think Monahan can do the same

i wonder if there's any chance Calgary can try getting Roslovic + from the jets for Brodie? The jets suddenly have a few holes in the back end... Friedman said there's a chance Chiarot gets nabbed too, which even makes things worse for their defense

If Aho is available, have to think BT would at least enquire.
