I found out about a great real estate deal that a non-CP member got. CP membership is still pending, probably after he settles into his hot new condo.

I've met tons of interesting people, especially the bunch from the first Heckle. Dis, we need to have a beer again sometime soon. Amazing writing from the likes of Cowperson, Bingo et al. Best thing, however, is the 10+ years of timewasting fun from work.

Summer ball hockey, selling tickets and stuff, having interesting debates and on and on. CP is a cornucopia of Internet goodness!

I've learned tons about hockey, which is the actual reason I joined (thus me usually only posting to ask stupid questions). Even though I still don't feel like I know enough to post on here without getting my head ripped off, I'm hoping one day I will!

Soooo much funny. Funny picture and video thread, and WRGMG being my favourites.

Flames tickets.

Most importantly to me though, when my dog ran away a few months ago, I found her on CP!! I still kind of can't believe I found her on here of all places.

Finding out up to date news/thoughts/rumours about TJ. (I feel very displaced in KC while my whole family is in Chatham Ontario and I often talk to my relatives on the phone and know what's going on because of this forum! Plus it helps tremendously when I see TJ on holidays and I can talk to him about his experiences. THANKS CP!)

I love the cool pics threads, some are hysterical and I do steal the occasional one and send them to friends.

Immense relief from the boring work day.

I can see updates on hockey game scores when I am not home.

By far most entertaining message board I've come across, and although almost all of the men/boys here are pigs I find it quite entertaining and endearing.

I've become a Flames Fan.. but my heart still belongs to the Leafs...

I bought a hot condo deal from a realtor on CP who then wrote "www.calgarypuck.com" on my wall in permanent marker. Then I became a member here.

Some of the best people i have known in my life are from this site. I just spent my birthday with a bunch of CP'ers and we had a blast.

I haven't been a member here long, but lurking here has kept me (somewhat) sane since I left Calgary for Vancouver. An alarming number of people in Vancouver cheer for the Canucks.

I also saved serious money on my cable bill, as well as informing me on some funny pictures and videos. How I would have survived without that, I do not know.

It also gives me a place to occasionally jump in, make a strange comment, and flee into the night. I read a lot more than I speak, but I tend to like some of you folks around here.

And it finally gave me a place to tell my hockey stick stories without fear of judgment.

Thank you, CP. I am a man because of you.

CP's been great.

Great advice (man I remember a thread I started about 4 years ago about being stuck in the Friend Zone, it turned into a gongshow fast).

It's the sense of community here, of being willing to help complete strangers instead of expecting a personal gain through the site that is so rare.

Started the FFHL with some awesome CP members which is running stronger than ever.

Bought and sold a lot of hockey tickets.

Hijacking overtime on the fan960 was great. (THANKS MARK)

CBC's Kipper vs. Luongo poll back when the canucks first got Luongo, I remember we hijacked it and canucks fans cried to the webmaster and got it reset twice and we still won. They couldn't quite figure out what was going on at CDC ("omg I hit refresh and Kipper went up by 100 votes!"), and tried to enlist the help of the Devils and Habs boards and still lost. It ended up being like a 50 page thread and I laughed so hard I cried.

Joking that we traded for Jordan Staal and getting banned for a month.

Ball hockey!!! If there isn't too much snow on the ground we need to get that going again. C'mon guys!

Doing the "Hale" and "Red" chants at the Dome during the anthem.

Meet and greets at the Den (I will try and organize another one in a couple of weeks, it's been too long).

Oh and sports pools - winning the CFL pick the winners pool, and the CP Live Hockey pool that I am on my way to winning this year
