I'll be following this game, looking at the Spurs lineup I'm unimpressed. Especially with Crouch as the lone striker.

But, that said, I think they'll win this for one major reason, and thats the injury to Per Mertesacker. If you play Mertesacker then Crouch becomes worse than useless, but due to the injury of one of the world's best CB's I think Spurs have a good shot.

That, and the fact that King is playing. I've been watching Spurs lately and this team really lives and dies by King.

I mean, the equaliser on the weekend, Gallas didnt even pretend to jump to make the clearance. He just watched the ball sail by and gave the attackes acres of space in the area to make a free header. I think Gallas was a poor, poor signing.

We'll see how it goes, but I think Spurs have a good shot at this game, they've got their premier CB while Werder dont. That said though a midfield with Frings and Marin pulling the strings is no slouch.

I have no problem with Crouch as a lone striker, its Jenas with the problem

its basically their full strength side outside of Modric/Dawson or Gallas and Gomes

Cuducini playing over Pletikosa continues to anger me

and thats why Gallas isn't playing today, he isn't fully fit yet

should be a real open game

although Defoe out is obviously big, but if he plays I dono if they go 4-5-1 like this which Harry said they will do away in Europe

I think they could because it worked for England with Defoe as a lone striker and Rooney playing behind him (like VdV is tonight)

Well now, lets not say things that could be characterized as sheer lunacy.

Not a bad start for Spurs. Long ways to go yet.

And they're even again.

Marin > Crouch

And all the momentum is with Bremen. I still think Spurs are the better side, but this will be an interesting second half.

Wow, incredible piece of skill from Almeida, just split King and Abboud almost took the lead there Bremen.

Goaltending and Defence are still a massive concern for this squad.

Whatever happened to Gomes anyways? Either way I wouldnt be too sure, he had a great season last year, but he has also stunk up the joint during his Spurs tenure.

Valencia's ankle just snapped. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Classy move by Broadfoot to immediately call for the trainers and he looks genuinely upset about it.

he did something to his groin off a goal kick a few weeks ago

he would have definitely saved the Marin shot, his problem has always been crosses or corners, as a shot stopper I think he is top 3 or 4 in the league

Marin is having an insane game. He is just owning the Spurs back 4. If he'd passed off on that last opportunity rather than try and drive through Cudicini was done for.

Jenas is an idiot.

It is all Bremen right now. Spurs just keep turning it over in their own end.
