Alot of times it is the agent provocateurs who do this kind of thing, so all the peaceful protestors get smeared and dis-credited as violent hooligans.

Source Mikey? The peaceful protestors must be real chumps since this keeps happening and no "agent provocateurs" have ever been exposed.

Here is an example of Quebec police being caught disguising themselves as violent protestors...
This was back in 2007 at an SPP protest in Quebec, but this all too common...

I thought this thread was about the Phaneuf trade.
Burn the whole city down as far as I'm concerned.

The real question is, since governments do video conferencing all the time, why couldn't they do it now?
It would save everyone a lot of money.

I don't understand why they don't hold this at the UN.

I think there are several reasons why they meet in person, in urban centers. First reason is from the times when a lack of communication nearly cost the Russians and Americans a salvo of nukes.
The second reason is that the leaders of assorted countries actually want to make sure the people have a voice. If they met in the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship, how could the people have a voice. Government should be out in the open, protesting is part of that.
Like expensive elections, these types of meetings are expensive to host. No one said democracy was cheap.

There is some good stuff on infowars...dismissing it because Alex Jones thinks 9/11 was an inside job is foolish.

I don't think the anarchists are separate from the other social justice protestors. They are just an extreme element within the movement. They also serve to draw attention to the causes of the whole group. All the press who is reporting on the violence is careful to divide the "peaceful" protestors from the violent ones and explain the virtuous causes they are protesting for.
What is beyond dispute is that they all arrive at the same time and leave at the same time. Look at the tea party rallies that have occured all over the States in the last year or so. No anarchists were found to have attended any of them. If they just got off on group violence or shaking their fist at authority why wouldn't they have used those meetings as an vehicle? The answer I think is they aren't interested in limited government but, rather a far more socialist government and one without borders.

Sorry, but if there is information on there that says 9/11 was an inside job, why should I believe anything else that is on there?

Absolutely brutal. Just went out for a walk with my dog just as a gang of protesters were passing by on Yonge Street. Was inside a privately owned variety store to pick up a pack of cigarettes when one of the protesters hurled a rock through the ma and pa's store window. Nicely done idiots.

Meanwhile, two Canadian soldiers were killed in combat today fighting for Canadian values, but their deaths are over shadowed by these punks rioting in Toronto's streets.

So you have to agree with every single opinion of all your personal prefered media sources to give them creditbility?
Look, I don't agree with everything infowars talks about, but to dismiss them alotgether is silly...
Frankly, if you don't think 9/11 was atleast highly suspicious and needs a proper independant investigation, then your head is shoved so far into the sand you cannot be helped.....but I digress.

Well, if it were an opinion piece it would be a different story.
But its not, because they're trying to say that 9/11 being an inside job was a FACT.
And its not.
Which is why I dismiss the rest of their stuff.
