Dog and bone, I think, is phone not loan.

My personal favouritie Cockney slang is Bunsen Burner = Nice little earner (an activity which will pay off well).

"Blood in the water."

My uncle used to yell that at me when I was playing soccer, and playing well or winning. He'd yell out "blood in the water," so everyone would know we thought the other team was weak or weakening and we should keep pushing. I use it a lot talking about hockey, or I used to when the Sens were winning, but I use it outside of sports a lot now too. I guess I am pretty cutthroat now.

I say Bobs your uncle too. I think I've always secretly wanted to be British, or at least just have the accent.

Ah, the good old Fotze hair.
Probably the most accurate form of measurement ever conceived.

Usually equivalent to hitting whatever it is you're trying to move, one more time with a hammer.

Up the Apples and Pears - up the stairs

He's my China Plate -he's my mate (friend)

Telling Porky Pies -Telling lies

Dog and Bone - Phone

other good ones are:

* sixes and sevens

* have a butcher's

and an aussie one =
*a dog's eye

i love how cockney rhyming slang originated : as a way for inmates back in the day to talk and fool the coppers

I butt in and say things like "The air wasn't poisoned, the water was still drinkable, babies slept face down and used whiskey for teething, seatbelts were an option, more doctors smoked Camel than any other, homosexuality was a disease, the electric guitar was the newest craze, and color television was the epitome of a successful American Dream?"

Yeah, I hate it too.
