Well, OK peter, I concede that I deserve a degree of ribbing for a poorly worded post, but at the same time, it seems like you've failed to read my reply where I did state that ultimately, my biggest reason for going to the UofA was that it was away from home (not the best reason, either, I admit), with the length of the program being well, admittedly a distant third at most, behind that and the so-called reputation of the school.
I don't know what you want me to say about enjoying the four year program at the UofA, I know the material I teach in and out, so I don't see how more schooling there would have helped me out, so why not opt for the shorter program?
Anyway, like I said, clearly I made my point poorly in the original post, so I'll try to leave my post at this point because I think I might have explained it a bit better.
