Funny this thread popped up at this point in time... I had such a hankering for some good canadian whiskey, I convinced the owner of my favorite pub here in Rome to import me a bottle of crown or gibsons. He came through with a bottle of crown.
I might as well give a plug for the pub for anyone that visits Rome. Hit Scholar's Lounge (right in the downtown, close to Piazza Venezia) when in Rome.
The reason I like this place so much is because I've previously managed to convince him to let me stay in the bar after hours to finish watching hockey games. Hockey games that would no way get any airtime anywhere else in Rome.
I'll be sipping crown and watching the flames game on whatever day the first flames broadcast on NASN is.........
