re: Hunt - I don't think he would plow through the UFC heavyweight division, not at all. I don't think he would beat Vera, and if Arlovski took him to the ground it's over. Hunt can throw em sure, but I wouldn't put him #1 in the UFC at all.

Agreed about Shogun, it would have been pointless to see him go up to heavyweight and lose to Fedor... I'm a huge Shogun fan and it made no sense at all for him to do that. glad that didn't happen.

I have a few questions about Pride

is there any TV coverage? or do they only host PPV events? I don't get the fight network, so I'm not sure.

Does anyone know if Wanderlei Silva is still going to come back to the UFC. I know he was slated to possibly fight Liddell.

I hear there are some awesome fighters in Pride, particularly in the HW division, but I don't really know alot about them at all. The thing I like about the UFC is that there are so many events on Spike, which makes it really easy go get a good handle on who everyone is. It would be nice to either see Pride on TV more, or see more Pride fighters in the UFC.

Regarding Mark Hunt, I’m not a supporter of him for sure… he’s just not my type of fighter as I’m with you on the Shogun mold.. now that’s a fighter. But Hunt did upset Mirko Filipovic and and he was the first person to defeat Silva after 4-5 year stretch (forget the record of hand)… plus his record gives him fights against a more impressive field and his two losses are not against any fall downs either.

Hunt
Wins: Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, Yosuke Nishijima, Mirko Filipovic, Wanderlei Silva, Dan Bobish
Losses: Josh Barnett, Hidehiko Yoshida

Vera
Frank Mir, Assuerio Silva, Justin Eilers, Fabiano Scherner, Mike Whitehead, Andre Mussi, Don Richard, Adam Rivera

Could Vera beat Hunt? I sure hope so because like I said above I’m not a Hunt supporter.. either or, it doesn’t matter anyways because I’m pretty sure Hunt can’t fight in the US so it’s pretty much of a meaningless point regardless.

Regarding HitterD question
Sorry, I’m pretty sure Pride fights are shown on FSN in the US as for here you’ll have to do it the DVD, PPV way for now.
As for Silva/Liddell… Not going to happen until Dana removes the roadblock and he doesn’t want anything to do with it as long as Silva is signed with Pride. It’s very similar I guess you can say with what Dana did to Nick Diaz in the last PPV. Diaz has signed with another promoter (not sure how long) but the last PPV had Diaz on the card in his home town but Diaz’s fight wasn’t going to be shown on the PPV because (I am assuming) Dana doesn’t want to promote another promoters fighter. He should be back though as Nick has been very loyal to the UFC but like any young fighter he needs money as well.
