Can they afford to bring on his cap hit, or is this LTIR shenanigans? NHL.com reports that the knee injury is a condition that has been bothering Landeskog for some time and ",is getting worse"...conveniently right before the trade deadline

Colorado's deadline cap space is 3,889,000 WITH Landeskog on the books. Yea, it stinks if he goes LTIR.

Yep. Of the teams that existed in 1972 and still exist today, 13 of them had a headstart on the Flames, and the Flames have moved past 2 of them (Kings, Canucks) and stayed ahead of the Islanders. Quickly gaining on the Sabres for 11 place. GFG!!

Surprised at beating the Islanders given their early 80s domination.

Edit: I guess this would just be regular season wins tho.

They're playing so well together, maybe they get promoted as the 2nd pairing, with Stone-Tanev as the 3rd pairing. Question is, who plays on the left side?

Yeah definitely a possibility. Gudbranson - Tanev is pretty good on the PK, so that might work to. Meanwhile Zadorov - Tanev wasn't too hot to start the season.
