Thought Lindholm and Tkachuk both went pretty braindead in the 3rd

This game should have been closed out long before it was, plenty of opportunities to get another one past Nedeljkovic.

I need more Kylington in my life.

Detroit just scored 6 on Vasilevskiy.

Great game by Markstrom.

He was good but didn't steal it or anything

High danger chances were 5-5

Should be A LOT eating crow from what I saw. Was effing ridiculous. Granted it's only been a few games but he's been solid, about all he needs to be.

That was what I was getting at as well.

Winning is fun. Will take it for sure. Big game coming up against WSH so winning tonight was huge.

They gave Johnny an assist on the ENG, so he now has 4 through 3 games. Well on the way to breaking the single season record for assists by a LW, which is 70.

Great game by Markstrom to answer Sutter's challenge and Kylington had a good outing with Tanev and should stay in for next game. I've never paid attention to Gudbranson prior to this season (many others have apparently), so I'm shocked at how not terrible the guy is. Really solid game with many strong plays and a couple of mistakes.

This thread will be much quieter than the previous two PGTs where everyone jumped in right away to be able to post their negative takes and I'm good with that!

I was watching the Detroit feed and that's what they said too, Johnny knocked the puck of the Detroit player and it went to Tkachuk.

Ball and Hrudey mentioned it too.

He never touched the puck. Just knocked the stick which was a great play but doesn't get the assist.

Edit: just saw they did give him an assist so maybe he did touch the puck. Didn't look like it on replay.

I noticed that Pitlick looked a bit tired on some shifts, which is understandable. He needs a couple more games to get his legs conditioned

If it was the Oilers, McDavid and Draisaitl would have BOTH gotten assists.
