Yer not old. Just have a good memory. Those first days of the Flames in Calgary were magic for a little kid. That is probably why my hatred for the Oilers run so deep.
I still remember Donnie Edwards and the towels he used to wrap around his neck while on the bench. Remember Pattie Riggin destroying the Dino the dinosaur doll someone hung in front of him on the way off the ice?

Vernon played in three leagues that year. Assigned to the second-tier International League, promoted to the American, before coming up to the big squad.

He'll be in next game. You have the 2nd and 3rd pairings playing today. You will have the 1st and 4th parings playing in the next one. Hanifin being the question mark. If Hanifin doesn't dress we could even see a Kylington - Tanev pairing for a game.

Lulz.
A case could even be made for that up until Nurse "emerged", albeit against a 7 team division.
On a contender, he's the only defenceman from that team that would see top 4 ice time.
Once again, props to the Oilers cheerleading squad and beating the drum of the one for one deal which ultimately caused their sole other top 4 quality defender to haul arse out of there.
