Ya know, I just realized something.

From 2007-2013 and from 2016-2021 there was no such thing as Flames Hockey

2004-2006 and 2014-16? though, I think there was definitely such a thing.

I'm ready to watch some Flames ####ing hockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know they're due to put up some gaudy numbers. Please don't let it be tonight.
Or they’re entering into a huge slump. I really like the idea of shadowing McDavid. I don’t think it’s done much and I don’t think he would like it at all.

What an odd and unique situation.

New coach who everyone knows it tough, can’t be in the building tonight. Has his own quiet vantage point, where he can make notes and not be bothered and watch everything that’s happening. They’re going to play out of their minds.

After getting schooled by the Leafs three games in a row, the Oilers will no doubt be fired up for this one. The Flames are their Stanley Cup.

As long as the Flames show up, they should be fine. Get an early one past Smith/Koskinen, and the Oilers will fold. Hopefully the guys are pumped to show their new boss what they can do when they actually put in the effort.

It doesn’t make any sense to me why it isn’t common practice. If you have someone solely responsible for him, coupled with zone coverage to make it 2 on 1 once they’re in the zone, he’s toast.

You need a forward to track (lead) with speed through the neutral zone to stop his breaks.

Doesn’t have to be as fast (who is) but smart and able to anticipate where he’s going. Someone who can lean on him a bit wouldn’t hurt. Backlund has sort of been assigned but more as a one matchup.

Until the Darryl Sutter hiring was announced, I don't think that I ran out of thanks all season. Now I am always running out.

What a breath of fresh air this has been.

This, and the fact there seems to be an unwritten rule that you can't play him too rough. They need to play him hard, tough and shadow him. No more messing around. This is Sutter time!

I’d go all in vs. McAvi

Mangiapane - Backlund - Lindholm

There are guys smart enough to not cross the line and take penalties. But, I’m happy for Gio to take a penalty to teach him not to cut to the net, too.

Attention: Mr Dave Tippet

On behalf of the Calgary Flames we would like to state our strong alignment with your decision to play Mike Smith in net for the BoA.

May you forever suck.

Sincerely
The Better Team

I actually thought of this when Darryl was hired. If that happened, there was no response or stopping it from happening, heads would have rolled.

I love how when Sutter was asked about the North division he gave credit to every single team except didn’t mention The No Goods or Vancouver. He even said Ottawa can play. Just love that guy.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but apparently I'm told that Edmonton may not be good.
