Monahan's "baseball bat" goal as Wills called it.

Not how I'd describe it... looks like a standard rebound along the ice, haha.

After watching the world juniors the pace seems really slow from those highlight clips

We are already into January, and the Flames are giving a preseason like effort out there. UNACCEPTABLE!

If Lindholm can be a play driving 200ft Center that works well with Tkachuk that changes the Dynamic of this team IMO.

Allows Monahan and Gaudreau to be be a more sheltered offensive second line, and then Backlund helps with the tough matchups on the third line.

I look at how the Canucks were used the year they went to the cup finals and think this coaching staff should mimic how that team was deployed.

Hopefully the Lindholm/Tkachuk line can be the tougher defensive line (that are also annoying to play against) like the Kesler line was, Monahan/Gaudreau can have the more sheltered offensive minutes like the Sedins had that year, and the Backlund line can be the defensively responsible third line like the Malholtra line was (I think the Backlund/Mangiapane line would be much better than the Malholtra line was though)

the red seat covers are a bit intense and distracting; I imagine it will be worse in HD
Should have gone with the bluish-grey used in RTP and WJC that just blended into the background

I wonder how it will be for the players, and in particular, the goalies, picking up the puck against that back drop

Emilio's tying goal. Nice passing from Ruzicka.
So, if Pettersen scores another one tonight, should Flames fans start projecting him as a Calder contender for this season?

Shamelessly dive to draw penalties and put the Sedins out on the PP?

(I know they had over 70 pct o zone starts )

I'm already at that point.

If he scores another, I'm pencilling him in for the Rocket Richard Trophy.

If he scores another after that, the Hart Trophy.

Naw, that would be pretentious and premature. Hard to imagine any one that would read that much into a couple of scrimmage goals...

But this is enough for me to declare that we clearly have the best Pettersen/son this side of the country!

At the end of the first period, Loubardias highlighted two groups that stood out:
-Valimaki and Nesterov and
-Tkachuk, Lindholm and Simon.

Mimic the Player utlliization.

Not team strategy or douchbaggery.

Well that's pretty much best case scenario IMO.

Flames need to pick it up in the second if they want to beat these clowns.

Team Iginla wearing retro whites... Did the real Jarome Iginla ever wear that jersey?

Valimaki and Andersson together!

Leivo with Tkachuk and Lindholm. So, it looks like the coaching staff is gonna look at both iterations of the training camp lines so far.
