It's his commitment to the 200ft game that Dallas didn't like. Then when he came in Lindy Ruff really put the screws into him for it and buried the offense he brought. He really should have stayed in Russia for a couple of season before coming over.

As someone who listens to about 60% of games on the radio at work I really appreciate Wills and Loubo, they have good chemistry and generally call a good game. I seriously couldn't even imagine having to listen to half the other NHL radio duos out there on a regular basis. I hope Wills has fun doing this TV broadcast, sure it's a little different and we're spoiled by having Rick Ball so often, but Wills seems fine so far.

This is a fair point. In the profession, Derek Wills is far better at his craft than any of us. He deserves this opportunity.
