I think that's a bit of a reach (the confirmation)

After just two games the guy is moving the right guy down a line (Ryan), and the right guy up a line (Bennett), not to mention bringing the right guy in (Andersson) on the blueline.

Jankowski vs Bennett was probably the decision, and even though you'd think most of their minutes are together, it seems that the time where they're not has had Bennett make more with his time than Jankowski.

If this wasn't the Flames I'd be really excited about what I've seen in two games.

But it is ...

Other then a few rushes here and there, Janko's been pretty quiet overall. I can understand the move by the coach. Nothing wrong with it as I think it will give him a good kick in the butt.

Isn't that what we were asking from GG? To hold players accountable?

Oh, I'm still fulling expecting the sky to fall. It's been beaten into me since 1995 to expect the worst with this club.

But this year, there is that tiny sliver of hope. I will let myself enjoy this, but not yet. Not yet CroFlames.

What's excellent about Peters so far is that he appears to tinker, but has a reason for every single one. Yes, you can disagree with moves here and there, but of course we will, we're fans.

It's very encouraging to see as I fully believe Gulutzen's lack of ability/desire to make changes added to complacency for a lot of players and frustration for others.

Anderson called up, Prout plays alright, but Anderson could probably play better? Anderson in

Bennett shows some skill and jam that could turn to points on higher line? Bennett moved to higher line

Brodie can't shoot the puck, so why is he on the PP? Brodie off the PP

Ryan, does a lot of little things right, but didn't show chemistry with Neal? Ryan moved down.

<GG>
Give it a hundred games or so, I'm sure Brodie will do wonders on the PP.

As other posters have said, being in the press box might be good for Janko for one game. After that he should replace whoever underperforms in the bottom six next game.

Say what you want about Hartley but he used the press box strategically a few times over his tenure and the one thing he always got out of his teams was effort. Especially from the guys who had to sit for a game or two.
I agree with matching Bennett and Dube’s speed. Neal is slower and could be the trailer (and shooter).

Considering the few things I wanted changed was:

- Ryan and Frolik as 4th line utility forwards
- Ryan and Brodie off the PP
- Prout back in the pressbox in favor of Andersson

..I can't really complain

But Peters hadn't been playing Janko a lot in the 2 games, but I noticed him whenever he is on the ice.

I genuinely wonder how much longer Dube will be with the team? If he's not getting enough ice time minutes, he's better off in Stockton imo. I love his skill, energy, iq and tenacity, but he seems a bit undersized to play the game he wants to on the wing. So now he's getting a shot at centre. But if 3C doesn't work out for him, I wonder if goes back to the AHL to get some more seasoning and play first line minutes for a season. I'm starting to think the same thing about Mangiapane - unless he's playing top-9, leave him in Stockton.

Bennett-Janko-Neal
Xyz-Ryan-Frolik

Xyz has to be a mature player - If Dube goes back to Stockton, i think the leading contenders to be called up are Foo, Rychel and Klimchuk.

I think he's going to be mid slot like Monahan. But if he is in the same spot as Lindholm, he will get shots.

Love the Bennett - Dube - Neal line.

Dube plays like a C, I think that's where he's best suited.

I read that Jankowski had 1 assist in the last 37 games of the season last year.

Maybe this is the right decision to try and give him a jumpstart!?

...Dube has been playing top 9 minutes... and Mangiapane IS in Stockton.

What team you watching?

Interesting that a lot of air has been let out of the "Peters' guy" concern for some fans in one practice.

That one practice could have gone any way.. GG would have put Ryan with Johnny and Mony to jump start him.

I actually like Neal in front. Czarnik seems to be the quicker puck handler so fits well on the boards and can move the puck to Neal when he backs up into the slot for his shot.

Except for his 4 goals in game 82?

Oh wait you're just talking assists, not points.
