What is GGs strongest trait that has got him to the NHL? Obviously there is something or you don’t get this far.... what is it?

He’s supposedly a thinker, but it seems like he spends a lot of time out thinking himself especially when it comes to simple things.

Coughing up leads without push back, and never coming back late in games.
The Gulutzan experiment has failed, so let em go. Get an experienced motivator and thinker in here and shed some passengers and try again.

Down by two with two or so minutes left,on a fresh power play, we win the draw, but don’t pull the goalie until a minute left... that makes no sense to me. Lousy game.

That was easily one of the most infuriating losses of the season. Not just for how the Flames completely folded in the 2nd period, but also the ridiculous officiating.
Still lots of hockey to be played, but the Flames' playoff hopes are clinging to a thread right now. Next game is a must win for sure, if only to get their confidence back. We're sill in a good position to make the dance provided the Flames can get their s**t together and string a few wins together. This one step forward/two steps back crap isn't gonna cut it.

Thoughts about officiating aside...
Our road record was outlandish and was bound to correct. These were two tough games against teams that play well at home with our backup goalies. They were games we should lose.
Start winning the games we should win at home, and we're still in it.

That is one terrible and unnecessary loss. Tkachuk needs to smarten the hell up as a lot if this was on him tonight. Shoddy team defense, shoddy goaltending, several bad calls by the refs. Can't go around losing games like this, just terribly stupid stuff really. And the Avs are not even a good team which infuriates me even more.

I feel sick about that pick for Hamonic. I love his character but I’d rather have that first round pick and have Rasmus Andersson in the lineup all season.

Look... as the forum's biggest Rittich fanboy, any assessment by you of Rittich is already being taken with a grain of salt now. You already tried to excuse him for the awful 2nd goal tonight. Please stop.
May I remind you that this is a goalie that quit on his team AFTER he lost the game for them in his last start?

I'm done.....cant continue to watch the nhl. Aside from the team playing like crap, the refs need to be called out publicly for the bs they pull.

When your best players get outplayed that badly by the other teams best players you have literally no chance.
Especially when you are missing your MVP

The Johny thing was just sickening. Whether or not he was hit or not, go wave your stick full speed by the refs face and see if he flinches. Johny didn’t lose more than 1 step and carries on but was treated as if he fell or quit on the play.
I’m no NBA fan but when they hold the refs accountable for missed calls the day after, it is some comfort for fans to know the league admits a mess up. Not having to be accountable or to that call is a joke.

Never gonna get far if the slightest bump upsets the whole cart. Terribly reffed game but as the saying goes don’t give them the chance to make those calls. Also can’t go with the bad luck story, at that level you learn to lie your own luck. They started well but unraveled quickly
They are tentative too much at times and it grows quickly as soon as a team pressures and upsets their order. Got some great pieces here but they got a bunch more maturing to go before they are more then a fringe team.

Lots of hockey to determine this thing. Plenty of games against teams in the mix.
This is far from over. But hey, lose a couple and think the worst has been status quo here.
|
The next couple games are going to determine the season though IMO. LA/SJ/ANA are all winning games lately. The flames can only tread water for so long before they drown.
