The reason I do not like these emphatic sorts of pronouncements is because there is so much parity in today's NHL. Literally ANY team can win on ANY given night.

So, while the probability is high that the Flames will win, and while we should all expect them to do so, there remains a distinct possibility that they will not. And then what?

Does this mean the Flames are a terrible team?
Does it affect their outlook on the whole season?

My sentiments also. Plus, I will be very very angry if they disappoint Split98 and his missus taking in the Dome for the first time. Boys better score 6+.
