What? Bart is one of the best skaters on the team, the problem is that's the only thing he has.

I've seen one Flames goal in two games at the Dome so far this season. If I don't see at least two tonight, I'm going to be very angry.

The first ten games are out of the way. The real work starts now. Two thing for the Flames to work on moving forward is secondary offensive production, and discipline. If they can improve in those two regards they will win more than they lose. If they can't it will be a tough row to hoe on the way to the post season.

It's only a matter of time before the third and fourth lines get their heads out of each other's asses and contribute something besides taking needless penalties. This team has been horrible at home to start the season and the first game back after a road trip although it was just a 2 gamer is rarely a recipe for success. That being said we smoke em up tonight 5-2. Go Flames Go!

On the PP. he has been beyond useless at 5 on 5.
He is starting to carry that uselessness into his PP performance as well. I have been very disappointed and frustrated with Versteeg this year.

I'm not surprised that Kulak was dropped from the line up. He seemed to be losing physical battles in the D-zone last game. I like how he moves the puck a lot better than Bartkowski though, so if it was my call I would go with Kulak but both are players with warts at this point.

If Bennett scores tonight, I will write a poem about how good Mcdavid is. (Getting desperate here)

I think Bartkowski skated the puck out of the zone better than Kulak. But I'll give passing and puck clearing to Kulak as an advantage over Bart.

Bart's a better skater than most guys on the team. Both Bart and Kulak have puck clearing issues, though Kulak has been a lot better in his two games this year versus last year. I know people are down on Bart and I think he's not very good too. But IMO Kulak isn't head and shoulders above him. I thought Andersson played better than either but is the wrong hand.

Uh, no. He's been excellent, especially on the penalty kill. However, people will remember 2 giveaways in the last couple of games that led to goals against. I remember those plays too, but it doesn't represent the bulk of his play.
Hamonic has been just fine, and his defensive zone play has allowed Brodie to be a major offensive catalyst. That's his job on this team, and he's doing it well outside of a couple plays. Brodie still turns the puck over way more often.

Sometimes I think it's because the Flames were a key part of the anti-slashing movement. So the refs are like "OK, you wanted slashes and hooks called? Fine we'll call them - against you".

Bartowski and Kulak are interchangeable. Overall very little difference between the two when it comes to performance. I think people favour Kulak because they still see him as a prospect that might improve over what he is now and Bartowski is pretty much what he will be.

I would agree that he's been mostly fine, but I would disagree on the excellent PK. Not terrible, but still one of the weaker links.

Ok, disagree if you must, but IMO he's a warrior on the PK, or at least he has been in most of the games so far. I found him to be quite noticeable in a good way.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm looking forward to seeing Glass out there tonight. Team needs some jump, some energy and quite frankly some hits.

Like most of the PP, he has no creativity. His only plays are:
1.) Force a pass to the low forward that gets picked of about 50% of the time.
2.) Poor angled slap shot from the faceoff circle that is easily saved or blocked.
Stone has a freaking canon of a shot, put him on the PP.

So Glass and Bartkowski are being put back in the lineup. I'm really annoyed about that.

Maybe we will see a motivated Glass again. A little energy to get the ol' body-banging-train going.
