That's a good point. Maybe Gulutzan wasn't impressed with Shinkaruk last season and it's spilling over to this season. I think it's time for the Flames to see what they have with Shinkaruk and give him a stretch of 20 games on the top 3 lines.

I want to ask if you know how much of a twat you sounded like in pretty much the entirety of your post, but specifically the end.

I'm guessing a lot of 'Flames hockey coaches' do agree with me because Shinkaruk has already FRIGGIN PLAYED ON THE TOP RW SPOT. He also played some RW in the AHL in order to prepare for playing on Calgary's top line. Who is the one being obtuse here?

Shinkaruk doesn't play a little mans game, so his size is irrelevant. Like I said I don't think anyone would object to Marchand on the top line. Of course it would be nice to have a skilled power forward, who has size, grit, tenacity, forechecking, backchecking, but we don't and can't afford to get one!

Brouwer is the closest match and we need to balance out our scoring lines. If Bennett doesn't get good line mates we're back to having 1 scoring line.

You claim to have watched Shinkaruk but know absolutely nothing about his build or skillset.
