Poirer - Backlund - Frolik
Bouma - Stajan - Ferland

During the TSN draft preview, Matthews, Laine, PullurdamRv and Tkachuck, were the ones Bob Mckenzie(the best draft list maker), said were most NHL ready.

Monahan: 31 goals, 35 assists: 66 points (better two way game)
Brouwer: 20 goals, 20 assists; 40 points

Tkachuk: returned to junior

Bennett (I see a step here): 22 goals, 30 assists: 52 points

Shinky: 11 goals, 12 assists: 23 points:
Mikael Backlund: 15 goals, 20 assists: 35 points
Michael Frolik: 13 goals, 22 assists: 35 points
Lance Bouma: 2 goals. Traded
Matt Stajan: 3 goals. 6 assists: 9 points
Michael Ferland: 6 goals, 5 assists: 10 points
Alex Chiasson: 8 goals, 10 assists: 18 points
Linden Vey: 2 goals, 5 assists: 7 points
Brandon Bollig: 3 goals. 1 assists: 4 points
Other forwards: 8 goals

Totals:
Forwards: 172 goals
D: 46 goals
G: 1 goal (yeah that's right, Brian's gonna get one!)
Total: 219 goals (down from 231) last year.
I look at your projected goal totals for our forwards and I think how pathetic. These guys are horrible. Then I remember this isn't the NHL I grew up with.

I want this.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Brouwer
Tkachuk - Bennett - Bouma
Ferland - Backlund - Frolik
Mix and match the 4th line
-Chiasson Stajan/Hathaway Poirier/Hunter

Say no to Bouma in a scoring role please. Yes, Backlund and Frolik will get the heavy lifting minutes. I think Chiasson will surprise a lot of people, he has twice the tools that Bouma has.

I am more hopeful for Chiasson as well. Perhaps not first line, but maybe a good match with Bennett. The early Dallas Stars Chaisson was really good. Not sure what happened in Ottawa, but he was a key piece in the Spezza deal. Worst case scenario, he should be a cheaper David Jones.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

You have to think this is make or break for Chiasson. He gets back on track from his Dallas days or he becomes labelled as what he was in Ottawa.

Personally, I can see him making the most of his opportunity in Calgary and can see Brouwer being a strong influence for him on how to play a power fwd type role consistently.

That's what I thought about Setoguchi, but he's on his 4th chance at redemption now.
