It's not uncommon for teams to have different alternates at home or on the road, or to have 4 alternates and no captain.

Re. 4 alternates, I thought that should have been the route the Oilers took with McDavid, but then he wouldn't be the youngest captain ever, which is all the Oilers cared about.

Interesting that out of the original six teams, only Boston and Toronto have done anything to their logos since 1993. Personally, I think Boston should go back to the yellow B with black spokes.

Flyers of course, get to play more outdoor games in 2017. Jersey just got unveiled:
I'm okay with them going for a primarily black jersey. They've had so many outdoor games and have done white and orange jerseys plenty. But, too generic and similar in style to the SJ and LA stadium series.

It appears Adidas is only allowing each team to have 2 jerseys next season once they take over meaning NO 3RD/ALTERNATE JERSEY. So hopefully Ken King reads this and just ditches the current threads in favor of the retros for both home and away.

Uniform mandate
Multiple sources tell the Star Tribune that all NHL teams will be permitted to have only home and road jerseys next season as Adidas takes over for Reebok as the official outfitter of NHL uniforms.
There will be no third jerseys, in order to make the initial implementation of new sweaters easier.
