Yes. I'm hoping it is Trochanteric Bursitis (granny bursitis as they call it). But given the pain level and that it's not subsiding at all it might be a tear of the Trochanter tendon. But I got the imaging done today so I should know tomorrow or Monday. ADC is basically a walk in for all imaging whereas the CDC is about six weeks. Crossing fingers but I think my summer plans are screwed.

OMG!WTF! .... this has been my experience with all pain killers stronger than advil/extra strength advil...

t3's - (over 20 years ago) i took 1 before i went to bed after getting major dental work done earlier that afternoon (i took a high stick at hockey which broke a tooth. had to get what was left surgically removed). if i was vertical the pain was bearable but as soon i laid my head back it would throb. i fell asleep pretty quick (due to being exhausted, not the t3). i woke up probably 30 minutes later and i couldn't breath. you know the blood pressure things they put on your arm - it felt like one of those was on me from my stomach up to my neck. that was scary. apparently i'm allergic to codeine. a quick trip to the hospital for a codeine neutralizer and i was ok, but not a fun way to find out about that.

morphine - i had major surgery on my hand and when i woke up the nurse ask how my had felt. it was freakin' sore so she gave me a shot of morphine. it took the pain off right away, but man did it make me dry-heave (it would have been puke but i hadn't eaten anything)

so needless to say, i'm not a huge fan so powerful pain killers! ha!

a good friend of my parents died as a result of this - it's sooo dangerous to mix pain killers and alcohol
