Didn't mean to hurt your feelings, man. Like I said, I was commenting more on the "8 months of winter" that constantly gets thrown around, not so much your post.

Bankruptcy trustee allowing access to Sunridge RV

Good news for some, hopefully.

Quote:
The bankruptcy of Sunridge RV has left some owners locked out of their trailers that are still sitting on the site, but the problem is set to be cleared up early next week.

Filing for bankruptcy on February 22nd, 2016 the application was approved in court on March 9th, leading to closure of the Airdrie/Crossfield business.

Appointed trustee in the bankruptcy, Alvarez & Marsal currently control the site"We are hoping to starting allowing people to remove their units starting on Monday," said Shulha through email. "We hope that most units will be moved by the end of the week, but it will take some coordination since not all units are immediately accessible."

If anyone currently has assets still sitting at Sunridge RV, Shulha said owners can retrieve their property by filling out a "Reclamation of Property" claim form and provide Alvarez & Marsal with proof of ownership.

The Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry is working alongside Alvarez & Marsal to help protect consumers and anyone who may be worried about purchases or trade-ins from Sunridge RV can contact AMVIC directly.

"We want consumers to contact both AMVIC as well as the trustee, it's very important that consumers file a complaint with AMVIC," said Lynette Macleod, Communications Officer with AMVIC. "It's very important that consumers take that step as well as contact the trustee."

Macleod said that by filing a complaint, AMVIC will have more information on the situation and be able to better serve consumers needs. Being a regulator, Macleod said the AMVIC's main interest is consumer protection.

"We want to get an idea of the consumers that are effected so that we know if there is more issues later down the road that we have an idea of the scope, and we know exactly who's impacted. It's very important that consumers get in touch with us right away so that we can get an idea of what we're looking at so that we can make sure that we can do what we can to help consumers."
