Not exactly. 6 teams have 57 points but the Flames and Leafs have games in hand on the rest. 1 game in hand on WPG, 2 on EDM and BUF and 4 on CBJ who still has the worst point percentage of the bunch.
But yeah. The race for better lottery percentages seems to be quite an interesting one unlike most years. Oilers just got McDavid back. BUF got Lehner back. TOR has Babcock. MTL is dropping like a rock. WPG may or may not trade 2 of their best players. CGY likely to be sellers and is struggling. Bottom 5 is about as hard to predict as the playoff races.
I am disappointed they couldn't beat the Jackets. Truth be told though, the Jackets played a smart defensive game. Their goalie was good but once again, little to no net front presence by the Flames. That is six games in a row the Jackets have beat the Flames in Calgary. Oh well, on to tomorrow.
Even if we were dead last in the league this "embrace the tank" talk is loser garbage. There's a team a few hours north that you can support if that's your thing.

That is 100% your opinion, and I am 100% entitled to have mine.
Sometimes, you just need to accept that a team isn't going anywhere, and that its best-case scenario is to improve.
Cheering for a high pick in the draft is like cheering for a trade at the deadline. It's perfectly ok.

Meh.
I want the Flames to win, but this team isn't ready to win yet.
If they aren't going to go on a run and make the playoffs, like it or not, the next best option is for them is to lose and add another young stud player to the already strong young core.
I don't like losing, but I'm not going to freak out about it given this teams situation.
