Jones really picked his game up in the playoffs. Best forward not named Ferland.
You keep the guys who elevate in big games

I have to say I think that as much as we vilify Bollig during the regular season, hes a guy we have to keep.

Treliving says there are certain conditions that need to be met to get the 4th rounder.
Sounds like they won't get a pick otherwise.

			Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Treliving tells us Reinhart was eager for an opportunity elsewhere, so accommodated him with the trade to Nashville. #Flames

I don't entirely agree with that. Jones was much more of an overall factor in the playoffs than Bollig when it came to raising their respective play. Bollig was a lucky benefactor of some fortunate bounces. Good on him to bury those as those were important goals but didn't see anything extra from him than the regular season.

Good, deep organizations continually roll out the guys that don't fit in order to keep getting more opportunities for more players in the future.

And the Flames have become a really good organization.

I've been saying since at least Christmas on Fireside Chat that I expected Reinhart to be moved. Other guys have jumped over him on the depth chart in the last year.

Good kid, still a good prospect with some potential and I hope he does well in Nashville. I wonder what the condition of the pick is? My guess is it's based on Reinhart signing with the Predators as he is currently an RFA.

Sad to see Reinhart go as I think he will become a solid 'jack of all trades' type of player and one with high character. Nice to see Brad do a 'good one' for him, and I wish the best of luck to Max. Just wasn't going to happen here for him unfortunately with the Flames adding depth and pushing him down more.

If I had to guess I'd imagine it's based on NHL games played next season.

Surprised he was even qualified but hope he finds a home in Nashville.

Pretty disappointed but the writing was on the wall. Good to see he will get another chance elsewhere.

I heard he boycotts Boston Pizza and prefers Minit Lube.

I think they qualified him so they can get an asset in return. I guess even he did not get traded, he'll still playing for Stockton and will be one of the callups in the season.

I hope he gets a chance to show his stuff in Nashville. If he succeded, i bet one of the Sabres or Oilers will go after him in a trade to reunite with either Sam(Buffalo) or Griffin(Edmonton).

I hope not. I liked him while he was here and it would be unfortunate to have to hate him. |

			Well Nashville has signed him:
Nashville Predators @PredsNHL
The #Preds have inked forward Max Reinhart to 2-way, 1-year deal: preds.co/1R7oi89

	Quote:

		| Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that the team has signed forward Max Reinhart to a one-year, two-way contract worth $575,000 at the NHL level and $80,000 at the AHL level. |
Polie was quoted as saying they expect him to play 2nd line center in the AHL.

Condition may be that he has to clear waivers to get there and Treliving doesn't want it out there in case a GM picks Reinhart up just to derive him of a pick?

I'd imagine the conditions would be that if he gets sent down and someone claims him, the Flames get no pick. If he makes the opening day roster, or gets sent down and no one claims him the Flames get the 4th rounder.
 Just a guess.

Having a waiver claim be part of the conditions doesn't make sense to me. That's something that's completely out of either team's, or the player's control. I doubt Treliving would agree to something like that knowing that Max is almost certainly going to be put on waivers.
Millions just tweeted that he thinks the only condition was him signing with the Preds, which was my initial thought too. There might be something additional with regards to NHL games played or points, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply getting him signed.

			It makes sense to me.
If the Flames traded a pick for a waiver eligble player they were going to put in the AHL, I would want it conditional on whether that player was claimed or not. Otherwise the Flames gave up the pick for nothing if he were claimed.
