Not sure what you mean by round 2 being hot garbage. Both games last night were highly entertaining. Well, the Caps game was an incredible goalie duel. Bolts game was fun back and forth hockey.
The disrespect for Ovi continues.... The Caps are up 3-1 in the series and the thread creator doesn't update the thread title.

Both series have been snooze fests. Only time either game was exciting was when the games were down to the last five minutes. Least entertaining playoffs in some time.

Well I've watched the Bolts series sparingly, but just because the Caps series has been low scoring, does not make it boring. It's been a goalie Battle Royale in that series, and those are fun to watch. Chances at both ends met with incredible saves and plenty of action in between.

Low scoring games don't have to be boring, but these games have been boring. The Hawks-Wild as well. Even the first two games of Flames-Ducks, and not just because we lost. Add on that the series themselves have all been one-sided, and this has been a bad round.

Yeah there's been some good saves but over the course of 60 minutes the games have long stretches of strictly neutral zone play. It's the way the Rangers play and it's the way Trotz likes to play so this is no surprise.

I disagree that the Caps/Rags games have been boring.
Looking forward to another goaltending duel, and I hope Ovi delights us with another highlight reel goal.

There's been a considerably larger number of shots taken and shots from prime locations in that series than ANA/CGY

Is St. Louis done at age 39? 3 points in 9 playoff games. UFA this summer.

This is some remarkable goaltending.
Glencross with the head shot on Holtby in practise. Of course.

@ Troutman,
I'm not so sure. It's been a low scoring series (and the Rags had a low scoring first round too).
He has looked relevant to me basically all series long. The guy is a super freak in terms of physical conditioning, so to me he doesn't look like he's too old.

I don't know man, that sure didn't seem like goaltender interference on that Caps goal. I agree with the Gary Galley on CBC, Lunquist was moving out and Ward got pushed into him. And, I don't think he had a chance to make a play on that puck as he was screened and had no idea where it was . Lame call IMO.

Glencross might have just sealed the deal on a breakaway

Glencross with the potential series winner. Whoulda thunk? Good for him. He deserves it.

Justice for the Caps after getting their other goal waved off.

If the Capitals advance would mean the picks traded in the Glencross deal would be:
2nd round 58thOA to 61stOA
3rd round 88thOA to 91stOA

Nice follow up by Glencross.
Probably one of the worst pinches I have ever seen to give the Caps a 2 on 0.
