I just really dont see us keeping up with Minny, they have our number this year. LA is LA, Canucks are pulling away. I figure we may even drop below the Sharks for better draft position. Wouldnt' be a bad outcome.

Terrible news, but they've known this for a few days. Still, you're sitting on a playoff spot with your destiny in your hands. Brad should've paid the price and gone out and tried to fill the void (the best he could), with future in mind too.

Instead he sits on his hands and allows two of our assets to walk for futures, while leaving this inexperienced group to fend for itself.

People are going to disagree with my line of thinking, but this is where I stand. Playoffs, the chance to compete, that's what you play for, it's what these fans need and deserve. And we had an opportunity with assets and depth we have. But Brad and co threw up the white flag today by making the team, as is, limp on sans Giordano and Glencross.

Omitting the half season, Gio has 3 shortened seasons in a row.. 61, 64 and 61 games played.

Was it a disciplined, professional rehab?

Just curious. Even if Gio rehabbed in half the time you did, he's done for the season, drat.

Heal well Captain!

Well, this explains the moving of players for picks in the last couple of days. Treliving isn't focusing on a playoff run this year it would appear.

Well this is sub-optimal.

I feel most sorry for Gio...what a campaign he was having. So close to that Norris...

Not sure why they had him taking shots at practice the other day?

Suppose maybe it couldn't get worse?

Bummer for Gio and and EXCELLENT opportunity for the rest of the team to show what they're made of.

Go Flames Go!!

Keep the faith baby. Yes, it will be tough, and it will be a huge gut-check - great for the young guys to be in tough.

Really feel for Gio. He must be sick over this.

Not giving up on this team though, hopefully they can pull out a miracle and make the postseason.

Time for Ramo and Hiller to go on ridiculous Dubnyk-esque hot streaks.

Absolutely. He just sat there and did nothing. Didn't even bother making or taking phone calls. I heard he, Conny and Burkie had an epic game of Risk going...
