Then why use the word "worried"? Shouldn't it be: Time to get excited about prospect of Kings missing the playoffs?

As a Flames fan, I'm worried that the Kings might still get in. This could cause our team to miss the playoffs yet again.

As a Sutter fan, I'm worried that the Kings might miss the playoffs, and Darryl will go full nuclear. This could crack the San Andreas fault wide open and cause California to slide into the ocean once and for all.

I'm pretty sure with all the drama, the amount of games played the past three seasons and three short summers, the Kings will miss the playoffs. Losing Mitchell wouldn't have hurt if Voynov didn't get himself in serious trouble. The Williams negotiation and the Richards assignment is not helping energize the team. They don't seem to have the confidence they have in years past, without that, you don't dig yourself out of a hole.

I can't begin to explain how tired they were last year. One player told me if they didn't win game 5 against the Rangers they wouldn't have won the cup. They literally didn't have anything left for another game. I think they're exhausted.

Have the Kings woken up winning their past 2 games? They are only 3 points back of the Canucks for the last playoff spot.

This is a pretty good analysis. They're called cup 'hangovers' for a reason, the playoffs are brutal and the Kings have made some long, deep runs. Yeah, their first run seemed like a cakewalk but the second run was a lot harder.

But yeah, might not be a bad idea for the Kings to shake things up a bit.

...maybe we can get Regehr back for the playoffs?
Regehr for Engelland
