I've found my being tall isn't nearly as important as how amazingly handsome I am.

I'm 5'8 and I never even think about it.

I prefer to interact with intelligent people. If anyone thinks height matters, they aren't worth my time.

Denmark has the second tallest average man's height at 6'0" behind only the Netherlands (6'0.25"): http://www.averageheight.co/average-...ght-by-country. So, you would have been a shorty there, or at least about average, which can still be off-putting if you're used to towering over people.

On the flip side of that, I was really surprised by how short most people in New York City are.

I noticed that about Los Angeles too. Thought there would be a lot more giants walking around but 5'8" seemed the norm.

I once tried to date a girl that was 6'0 and she was a little taller than me. At first she didn't want to, but then she did. So, it only matters until things reach a personal level. Then it matters less in my experience.

I've also read that most senior executives are taller than average..

The cool thing about all of this is that shorter men live longer than the tall ####ers.

So that kind of rocks.

If you are tall, just spend it. You are going to die without warning.

Not a lot of cleavage down there though, unless they have to bend over to talk to you...

I wonder what the average is in the Nordic countries. I felt taller in Canada, now in Iceland I rarely think about being tall or others being short.

This is such a non issue these days. Just go and get cosmetic height surgery and get on with your life: http://heightlengthening.com

Easily add up to 15cm, surgery only takes a couple of hours.

such is life.

there's probably just as much reason for complaining about being discriminated due to weight, hair loss, age, being too hairy, not too mention wealth, colour of skin, ethinicity, etc.

You can call a man short and people don"t even blink an eye but call a woman fat and people lose their ####....double standard.

lol I have never considered myself short and I'm 5'10.

I'm not tall and I'm not short, just average height. Considering I don't even personally know any girls that are taller than me, I'm not too concerned. As long as I'm taller then the girl I'm dating that's all that matters and that has never been an issue.
