Truly a joke and I know Eakins was 3rd on the list of desired firings by Edmonton fans, so this is pure gold..

To be fair, I can't see anyone from outside of the organization accepting the job. MacTavish is probably the best option, at least for right now.

So how can anyone take anything MacT says seriously at all? He's lost any and all credibility (if he had any to begin with).
Bold moves.........none.
Eakins is my guy...........fires him a week later.
MacT is a joke. If Katz has any brains at all he would make a massive sweep of all management this spring and start over. That franchise is a complete disaster and a joke.
Good for Eakins for getting the heck out of there, and still getting paid for the next couple of years. He comes out of this the big winner.
