Rod Pedersen is a rider fan and a buffoon.

I recall his name coming up in the past but the CFL and NHL overlap which makes it impossible and Rod is so biased it's excruciatingly painful to listen to games that don't go the Riders way. I expect he would tone it down for hockey but he really hates (he genuinely hates them to the point he doesn't vote for them in player awards) the Stampeders so much it would be a conflict of interest given the Flames own the Stampeders.

Agreed. He's a Riders troll at the best of times and needs to stay as far away from Calgary as possible.

Not sure why you are being such a jerk in this thread. Odd reaction.
Moreover, the opinion of radio insiders actually doesn't matter. The opinion of listeners does.
If the listeners don't like a guy but "radio experts" like you do - doesn't matter if everyone turns the dial.

If dead musicians can be digitized into new shows, there is no reason we can't have Ed Whalen back.

Ring a ding dong dandy!

Just to back up Wolfman here; whenever someone is mentioned the only response is "gawd, that guy sucks", or "I would pay someone to drive needles in my ears rather than listening to this guy."

It's a little ridiculous that nobody in the whole world is good enough for someone to listen to describe what he's watching over the radio waves. Is it really that difficult of a job? Is there literally nobody qualified to do it?

The mind reels!

Not to pile on, but how is his response better though?

I think that's the point here. Present a valid argument and a discussion can begin. I worked in radio myself for a number of years, but each to their own when it comes to taste. I worked with announcers who IMO had no business being in the business, but people loved them. Again, just my opinion obviously.

Fair enough, but it's probably just a visceral reaction to seeing a lot of inane comments. I can't really blame him.

I grew to like Loubo as PBP, hated him as colour. I don't really know why. I kinda hope he gets it.

You're right, I should have explained better. I also feel that everyone believes no one will ever be good enough.
