You gain almost a 3% chance of winning the lottery as well so instead of holding pocket kings and your opponent holding aces on the flop and needing to hit a 2 outer you get one extra out on the turn with a 4 card flush on the board.

*Math off the top of my head

Edit: And my math is wrong. You'd gain a lot more than one out. So ignore that haha but you get the point. You gain an extra 3%.

The one thing I am really hoping to see - is some serious repercussions if ANYONE takes a run at our little / young guys (especially our shiny new skittle)

Like I said it is embarrassing to cheer for a loss in February but this is game 82 in a 82 game season where we are one of the worst teams in the NHL. The chance at getting Bennet, Ekblad or Reinhart can speed up our rebuild a lot faster.

Cheering for a Flames win, and then being rewarded for not tanking by winning the lottery.

I wouldn't be upset if we lose tonight.

Seth Jones was the "consensus" #1 pick at the draft last year and he slipped to 4. Anything can happen at the draft and picking 4th gives us a better shot at picking up a great player.

That being said, if we do win, I hope we absolutely trash the Nucks.

If we win, and one of Bennett or Reinhart falls to #4 for the Islanders, or the #4 spot wins the lottery, it would be a win that would live in infamy. Loss please.

When the game is on, I absolutely will be cheering for a win. I love being able to cheer for a team that are constantly preaching they never want to tank, those comments from Burke earlier in the year about Hartley fighting him if he asked them to tank. I stand by them when that's the way they are going to play.

I'd love the season to end with the Canucks walking off their own ice with heads down and their tails between their legs.

this is really confusing considering youre a buffalo fan, a flames fan, and buffalo is getting the islanders pick this or next year. i had to read it twice to get what you meant by WE. haha

They will be doing that anyways. It's not like a win against the Flames will magically turn everything around. It will be a miserable season whether they win 5-0 or lose 5-0.

I have a hard time cheering on a loss especially against the nucks. It's all about the wins.

But my head says a loss is better in the long run. I want the win but I am perfectly fine with a hard fought loss. Not cheering, excepting.

I really want the flames to have a pick in the top 4, but I know as soon as that puck is dropped, i'm going to be cheering for a blowout win. Go Flames Go!

I dun even cur.

Loss please. Give me a fun game to watch, but fall short. Normally there's no way I'd cheer for a loss, but considering the difference in potential quality of prospect between 5th and 6th, I'm looking for the loss.

You'll notice I said 5th or 6th, this is not a mistake, as we all know "Flames luck" will have a team behind them winning the lottery. It's just meant to be.

Islanders have given the flames a huge gift by winning their last two games, time to take advantage. One more win last year and Edmonton would have drafted monahan, would a late season win over any team that none of us would remember now have been worth it? I'll take monahan thank you.
