Agreed.

They've already played out the whole "first round exit" thing. Now it's time for a string of near misses.

Interesting that the 4th lines got started for OTT and STL, but no fines for that.

And the skater taking the faceoff was not in his natural position.

That's a fair question. A gutsy win for the Jets was winning a tough game on the road against their former division rival and the Jets had their head coach going against his former team. That can be emotionally draining on a coach or a player. The Jets were 3 for 3 on the penalty killing, blocked 14 shots, and were 18/50 (36%) at faceoffs yet they still pulled out a win.

The Stars get closer to the 8th place Canucks with a 3-1 win over the Coyotes. Phoenix misses a chance to over take the Canucks. Mike Smith was excellent in goal despite the loss. The Wild pull ahead of the wild card pack that's just behind them with a 2-1 win in reg time over Tampa. The Wild's #3 goalie is really helping out his team, Kuemper faces 35 shots. The Senators beat the Blues 5-4 in the SO. It sure looked like the Sens were getting the short end when it came to the reffing. Ottawa's PK was perfect at 7 for 7 and only had 1 PP. Lehner was in net for the win and faced 50 shots. The Islanders beat the Capitals 1-0 in reg time, Nabokov gets the SHUTOUT stopping all 22 shots. Both teams were perfect on their PK. The Leafs winning streak finally comes to an end as the Panthers beat them 4-1. The Panthers pounded them with 48 shots. The Avs looked tired as the Rangers won 5-1 at MSG. The 2 games in 2 nights caught up to them. The Canucks lose their 5th straight game and Loserongo was in net for this one as the Bruins won 3-1. Take the gold medal away from this loser and he shouldn't be allowed to play in Sochi.
