Seeing a huge wall of traffic heading up Deerfoot, and being able to merge in ahead of it.
Recently, the warm side of the pillow... and having a good day to take down Xmas lights while the cords aren't all stiff from the cold.

Hearing the train horn as it goes through town.
Listening to my children play.
Hear Blues Traveller, Run Around, reminds me of the first road trip with my wife (then GF)
Silence
A strong wind
The perfectly timed hit, all you hear is the breath rush out of the opposing player.

Five or six slices of quality Genoa salami on a slice of brown bread. No mustard, no lettuce, none of that cr*p. Just pure goodness!

New sock day
Carrots, freshly dug from the garden, rinsed by the garden hose
Cutting the grass, the lawnmower smell mixed with grass
Watching the sunrise in the summer at the cabin, fresh cup of coffee in hand, hearing/seeing the first fishing boat going out
Right after that, jumping into the lake to waterski on the perfectly calm flat water

Making Brief Eye Contact with Someone of the Opposite Sex – You pass her on the street or in the subway. She glances up at you momentarily, making direct eye contact in a way that seems to communicate a subtle curiosity. For a split second it makes you think… and then it’s gone.

Today a little thing for me was Jhunt posting in the best of 2013 forum that he wasn't owned by the girl he posted about. I just carry it around with me all day.

The air just before the big storm hits.
The first kiss.
New Shoes
The after turkey dinner cigarette. (you non-smokers don't know what you're missing! I kid, but ooooh baby it's darn good)
First coffee of the day.
The first time you get behind the wheel of a powerful car.
Scotch
Early morning Dew on what you know know will be a hot day.
A good breeze during a hot and difficult day at work.
A shy smile from a girl you're passing by on a sidewalk.
The thanks you get for saving someones arse from being handed to them in a bar. (Doormen know)
Making sure a girl gets home safe in a cab alone instead of with the greasy creeper trying to swoop in after the bar is closed.
Finding anything over a dollar on the sidewalk or wherever.
New underwear.
Finally nailing a dinner you've been trying to perfect for a while.

Seeing the "hot women" thread back up to the top so when you open it you actually see a pic of a new hot girl, not some poster thinking I really care what their opinion is.

A shampoo and scalp massage from a pretty stylist after a haircut. It's probably the most pleasurable experience you can legally pay for.

the first 5 minutes after I shave my head after letting my hair grow in for a few month. There's just something uplifting about that.
Sliding on a crisp warm t-shirt fresh from the dryer.

If a gay dude isn't cutting your hair.. you're doing it wrong.

If a gay dude is cutting your hair, you're missing out on one of life's simple pleasures. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Enjoying the advantages country living offers. Right now, it is feeding the deer in winter. I feed them some oats in the morning and evening. 5 initially came, now 7 come regularly, and last night, 9 came. A buck also comes, but not regularly. He was in a fight during the rut...initially lost a tine on one of his antlers and was limping with his right front foot. Now he has completely lost one of his antlers.
Edit: I wasn't home the afternoon or evening of New Year's Eve so my deer never got their normal ration of oats. They were eagerly waiting for me the morning of New Year's Day. After they ate, they headed back into the bush in the back yard and a set of fawns decided to have a little nap in the sunshine.

- a good foot rub
- when you return home after a trip, and your wife treats you like a king
- when you look at your portfolio in the morning and it's all green
- when you look back at some of the things you did as a teenager
- when you help someone
