We would have bought ourselves a number one line with those two, which is important to maintain imo. We would be a very good team with those guys added.
Probably a pipedream, but I don't think my salaries are out to lunch. It would allow us to shelter Monahan et al for a few more seasons, which is important so that we don't become the Oilers, which is of course my greatest fear!

I personally don't see how any of those 3 aid the rebuild. All 3 will be over the hill & overpaid by the time the team starts to contend for anything.
I'm hoping the cap space is used to acquire a big contract from a team who is close to the cap and desperate to clear space. Maybe a UFA or 2 on reasonable term deals, but I hope our proverbial load isn't blown on UFA signings. UFA mercenaries don't win cups for you.
