Problem is when you keep losing like they are they are in a position of weakness, and they don't have a lot of desirable assets to move unless they want to trade one of their young core guys.

They're in a bad spot right now. Gotta love it.
They really are in a bad spot. Teams know they are dealing from a position of weakness as they probably won't wait much longer before making a shakeup. MacTavish when introduced as GM talked big about making bold moves but so far he's been all talk. I expect though he's probably trying very hard to do something but personally I would wait until closer to the 20 game mark before I made any rash moves.

So, here is where the Islanders were shooting from all night (40 shots)

And here's where the goals were scored

It's gotta be the goaltending though, right?

Florida evens up the score 2-2. Pretty good effort by the Panthers in the period. I think Boston stopped playing a bit.

They've been blaming getting outworked by Florida on "bounces."

My buddy is blaming Eakins's coaching, saying he's ruining Yakupov. So it's everyone's fault but the young Turks. Hall, Yakupov, Eberle, and Hopkins don't have to answer for anything as long as they put up enough points to make their contracts seem worthwhile.

@GenePrincipe I knew this renovation was going to be messy. I didn't think it would be this messy." Dallas Eakins

@SportsnetSpec Oilers stink again. And in other news, refs will wear black and white stripes this season

If I was an Oilers fan I'd bury my head in the sand that our "saviors" were the problem too. Imagine how bad that would suck? Haha

But after all the hype they've been pushing for the last three years, it looks pretty good on them.

Awful. I might need a new sport to follow. Looking at potential options: darts, bowling, archery. Any ideas?
