If the Pens knock the Bruins out next year, Iggy simply has to go to Chicago in 2014-15 and he is guaranteed a cup.

And as for the Bruins and the Flames, no matter how loud MMF crows about it, there are/were certainly ill feelings from the Boston side to Feaster (but never Iginla) about the way he handled the situation.

Making stuff up doesn't prove your point. Regardless, this is professional hockey. This is business. The Bruins tried to make a trade with Jay Feaster and the Flames 5 days ago. It has no negative lasting implications.

Says who?
It's just as likely that the leak came from the Bruins. Clearly Calgary favored the Bruins deal but it was Iggy's (rightful) choice to make.

Maybe Iginla is secretly looking for pay-back time because the Pens mis-used him. On a second thought, it probably boils down to the 6 mil.

Very surprised by the dollar figure. Figured it would be closer to 4.5-5 to make it on a contender. Either way the Bruins will be a much better fit for his type of game now than the Pens were.

Well he is only on a one year contract, he could spend the next few years going back and forth playing the 50/50 game until someone actually wins it~ like a stray woman lookin for her sugar daddy and who's got the goods.

Sounds like it's a bonus-filled contract, which also explains the one-year term.
Will he be the new Hossa? Chasing the Cup for a few years before finally getting it (in Calgary)?

Iginla is about as fit as they come at his age... but at 35 the light travel is just so much easier, on anyone. For some road games he can be home in bed before the night is over.
Really hard to compete with that when you're a Western club.

I wouldn't be rushing out to buy an Bruins Iginla jersey, as a year from now I wouldn't be surprised to see him on yet another team.
Now, just to wait a half hour or so for Iginla to change his mind last minute and go to LA instead!
