The regular army still sees semi regular action, but kids suck today, I know that I'd be a terrible soldier.
1) Why do you need large ground armies? Israel has the option of sending in drones armed with bombs capable of leveling entire city blocks.

2) The Arab armies are likely to suffer from the same deficiences. If Assad tells his army to charge an Israeli artillery gun line, the soldiers are likely to tell him to shove it.

Eventually you'll always need infantry. You can't really just hold territory with drones, you can make it pretty damn inconvenient, but not really hold it.

As for the second, that's likely true. They don't seem to be high in resolve.

It's difficult to gain new territory with drones alone, but holding your own territory is another matter. The major Arab strategy has been to outnumber the Israelis and one day swarm them with huge numbers of infantry. You're not going to get anyhwere near Israel now. They'd use air superiority to knock out whatever air defences and jets the Arab armies threw at them, and then proceed to use drones to take out the armies.

The biggest challenge would be missile bombardement from Syria and Lebanon. Even that becomes less of a threat every day. Israel's ability to knock those missiles down steadily increases, as does their ability to infiltrate Syria's anti-air defence systems and attack the missile launch sites.

I'd go as far to say that in point in history has Israel ever had such a military advantage over potential invaders. The only real threat is Iran's nuclear weapon program.
