I don't think many people out there would have picked them to be leading the division that has the Pens, Rangers and Flyers in it.
As long as Brodeur is in goal, the Devils will always be contenders. I agree with the age factor but never under estimate verteran experience such as the Detroit Red Wings. The 6 seed was deceiving because of the silly division rankings, Florida should've been #6. The Devils were tied with the Bruins and a point back of Flyers who were 3rd overall in the east.

The Bhawks are road warriors, what a road trip! This game is the 25% mark of the season and they haven't lost yet in reg time. Pekka Rinne kept this game respectable as the Bhawks had 27 shots on him. The 3-0 Chicago win gives Crawford his 1st SHUTOUT of the season. Speaking of hot teams, New Jersey and Boston have only lost once in reg time. The Devils sweep their mini series with the Penguins with the same score as game 1, it was 3-1 again. Clarkson was a stud scoring 2 goals. The Bruins also win on the road 3-1 against Buffalo. It was Miller time again and the Bs used their backup in the win. The 3-1 score was a common one as the Oilers beat the BJs. Can't deny the fact that Dubnyk bailed out his team with 39 saves. Good grief, the Oilers had horseshoes as they only had 13 shots and the GWG was a SHG off a 2 on 1. Detroit rip the hearts from the Kings, winning it with 4 seconds left in the 3rd period, 3-2. Howard was awesome in goal facing 47 shots. The Rangers win 5-1 as the Lightning lose the 4th in a row.
