As a mother of a two year old and an owner of two cats, you really should be asking yourself this:

Are your kids good with cats?

Ryley terrorizes the cat more than the cats even look at her...If she starts pulling the males tail, 99 times out of ten he walks away. But if he's not paying attention and she gets a really good grip on his tail he'll give her a swipe. And that's when I teach her about consequences.

I have 2 little guys and we already have a cat - they treat him great and the cat in return is great with them.

My wife and I are just wondering if going from 1 cat to 3 is the best choice for us as a family. It wouldn't be fair to anyone, (cats included), if we didn't really think this through.

They are great with our 8 month old. He is more interested in them than they are in him. Loki will put up with any amount of tail pulling and Ariel will just hide if there is something happeneing she doesnt like.

They are also de-clawed which means even if there is something they really don't like they wont leave a big scratch across the face.

I hope this works out. I really do. It breaks my heart reading about it. I see this thread pop up and I keep reading because I want to hear a happy ending.

I will post an update here when we have found a home for the cats. We are going to keep trying until September 5th to adopt them out together and after that we will try adopting them individually.

Quick update:

The Mrs. and I drove to Red Deer to meet Mr and Mrs Finner on Saturday with our cats. They were then delivered the Mrs. Finner's parents.

It was pretty ####ty to have to leave them but I am really happy we were able to find a cat lover who would take them both.

A huge than to Finner and his parents in law for helping us out.

Sucks you had to lose the cats Boblobla but good on you for taking the time and effort to find them a home.

Hopefully Finner can keep us updated on how the cats are settling in.

I like pet stories with happy endings more than I like human stories with happy endings.

Hi guys,

We brought them back and set them up in room my in-laws house. Arial hid pretty much the first 24 hours, but has been coming out a bit more, and getting patted. Loki has already explored the whole house, and hissed a bit at their old dog. They are staying in a room by themselves in the meantime.

They ran out yesterday and bought a bunch of new toys for them. They will have the run of the whole house and basement.

Couple pictures: (still none of Arial as whenever she comes out we don't want to pull a camera on her)

New brother Spence:

I'll post again in a couple weeks with an update.
