I’ve been watching these coaches carefully this playoffs and I see so many different reactions but none of them seem like what we’d have seen Gulutzen make. He just had nothing at all. He talked about stuff that never translated into what should be happening on the ice. Enough about that though.
Let’s go Jets. Let’s do this.

It's funny how poor goaltending tends to make coaches look bad and great goaltending makes them look like geniuses. The games was over when Rinne let in those two goals. Even the greatest head coach ever isn't going to be able to do a lot when his team is down 0-2 in a game 7.

This is incredible. I'm so happy for the fans , my home town, and crap, me. 16 year old me would have never believed the Jets could come back. And now here we are. Minutes from the Western Final.

Nashville needs to look at trying to dump Rinne this summer. He was horrible in all four losses and let them down big time. Hopefully Fleury keeps playing sharp.

Case in point: Paul Maurice just last year with Ondrej Pavelec and a 2nd year pro Hellebuyck in net. Hellebuyck is great this year = Maurice is a genius.

Savor this. You never know when you'll even get this far again. Trust me, as a Flames fan I know this.

There's simply no coach good enough to overcome bad goaltending. In today's NHL where the average level of goaltending is pretty good and there's a lot of parity, poor goaltending is nearly impossible to overcome.

I still think it was a good call to pull Rinne... But man would have been a much more interesting game with solid goaltending from Nashville, of course

Don’t disagree on Preds goaltending tonight.
However, tough to win when you score once.

Rinne is an obvious scape goat here but Nashville generated nothing today. The Jets were by far the better team, and truly earned it.

Just decent goaltending I think they would have kept it 1-1 til mid third and then the crowd could have easily listen them to some momentum.
I still think they were pretty outplayed, but who knows how much of that was psychological from the early goals. That's gotta be hard to come back from mentally in a game 7.

Agreed 100%. Just a few save percentage points down leads to an extra goal against nearly every game. That can mean the difference between winning and tying, or tying and losing in regulation.
I think Vegas got lucky with their goaltending situation this year down to their 4th and 5th string guys for a while. The team simply outscored their goaltending in that stretch. Fleury has shown everyone why he is a multiple cup winner in these playoffs. That's why they've only lost 2 games so far.
I think Vegas will get by the Jets in 6 or 7. No slight on the Jets, I just think there's magic in the air around that Vegas team. Everything is going right for them this year. I don't see why that should change now.

Weird series. The home team could never generate anything.

Your team has completely sat on the lead and your goalie has kept you in this game.
