1) maybe now they will get some federal support. Trudeau may actually talk to the premiers

This is showing that voter turnout is only around 55%. Does this included advanced polling? If it does, the numbers are lower than previous elections which is really quite surprising.

However, now that we have a liberal government, the potential of having effective representation in a liberal majority government by people like Grant and Hehr is something we should all want, even if you'd rather a different party was governing, and a different candidate representing you within that government.

I don't feel like my riding was particularly well represented even when Conservatives were in power. This basically changes nothing, except that the MPs are now maybe a smidgen less beholden to the party leadership.
