He was swimming, so I think McDived thought he could just lay back and he’d float.

I love that no one in Edmonton has an answer for this.

Last night was their game to beat them with speed. They also had numerous breaks and bounces go their way. Zadorov’s broken stick and Kassian’s goalie interference on their second goal.
Debrusk is just a complete idiot. They could use some speed in collecting pucks and making outlet passes in their own zone.
Yet their speed on the backend is non existent. Their horrible defense is being exposed as they turn pucks over while either trying to avoid or being pounded into oblivion.

McDingus held onto Kylington and lifted up his arm into his own way and then fell down

Pavelski did almost the same thing against us. It's a smart move and usually works.

Except for McDavid who has that high gear. The Flames have every bit the team speed that the Oilers have with the muscle the Oilers lack.
The Flames simply won a ton of faces to the puck, and then won the battles when they got there.
DeBrusk is an idiot selling hype.
There really needs to be an advanced stat on puck races and arriving first. I'm sure there is but whatever.

He's absolutely trolling them
He wants the narrative to continue to be "Connor is unstoppable! Connor is the greatest! How will the Flames stop Connor?"
(instead of, you know, important things like playing like a team)

I think with offsides being reviewable, they error on the side of no offside.

Or that the Oilers need him to get 4 points in each game to have a hope.
There’s no way Sutter actually has any praise for McDavids game.

I moved to Cochrane in 1997 from Europe, and my first hockey experience was singing the national anthem with the Calgary Boy's Choir at a regular season game between the Avalanche and the Flames. Got to watch it from a box after the anthem. I was instantly hooked. I was quickly indoctrinated into the E=NG at the time, even when I wasn't even aware the franchise was in its darkest period of its existence.

I believe they won the President's Trophy in 87-88 and 88-89.
The Oilers and Flames were the top teams, both in the Smythe Division, but only one could advance. When the Flames and Oilers played in the playoffs, everyone used to say that was the real Stanley Cup series but only one could advance.
