It’s died down a little but a little earlier I was outside watching it from my covered deck and the rain started coming down really hard with the wind blowing in a different direction every few seconds. I had to go inside because there was nowhere I could stand without getting soaked.

What is going on with the water and drought situation for the farmers in AB? It seems like we have had reasonable amounts moisture in the Calgary area but we are coming off a few dry years.

Many areas have not got the same rain. Some have declared a state of emergency they are so dry.

Guessing that's central/northern Saskatchewan. Well, northern prairies in general.
It certainly ain't here.
After today we should eclipse 100mm for July as well as surpass our totals for June.

It's still very bad in many areas of Alberta/Sask. It's been decent in Calgary, we've finally had a good amount of rain after years of ugly, brown foliage and dry wetlands by early August every summer.
This is wonderful.
