Yep, really want to see those results. My worry is that the urban/rural divide is widening and that is going to push the sides further apart.

Definitely one of the side stories from here on out. Trump had a terrible night. DeSantis not as much. Going to be interesting. Trump's ego will never let him concede to DeSantis.

Should still control the house but this is good reflection on Republican Party results. Abortion rights had to be a big detractor.

still close. Too bad Barnes is probably falling short, but Kelly will surely win ... Cortez Masto/Laxalt a coin flip. Hope Warnock can win the runoff, but the fact that this one even requires one is tragic.
would be amazing if Hobbs could pull this off against Lake. Don't think she can, but fingers crossed.

Anyone expecting results from Arizona should strap in for a long wait. Could be as long as two weeks before we get the vote count completed.
Overall the Dems did way better than anticipated and fought historical trends quite well. Yoho's red wave never materialized and it was more of a ripple.
One thing for certain based on these results, the Republican party lives and dies on backs of those they can scare into voting for them. Their Fox News base is slowly dying off and a new generation of votes is breaking 3-to-1 in favor of progressive values. Only a matter of time before those voters out number the existing Republican firewall as it dies off.

I can't speak for them, but for me? Yes, absolutely, conditional on the Republican being halfway competent and not an absolute monster. If I have to choose between malice and stupidity, I'm choosing stupidity. However, it's an odd hypothetical because I cannot imagine the Democrats ever running a candidate that stupid or incompetent who would get through the primary process.

Its pretty obvious coming out of this election that candidates matter and the strategy that the Democrats used (that people in this thread were lambasting a few days ago) of trying to elevate crazies in the Republican primaries in tight races paid off.

It's gonna be very close, probably within 1-2% either way.
