C'mon Wheat Kings!

I know Brandon will bounce back in Game 4. I expect the series to head back to Calgary with the Wheaties holding a 3-2 lead. This series is going the distance. Whatever the outcome, I expect a rematch at the memorial cup.

That's not possible. The series returns to Calgary for Game 5 on Friday.

Also, not possible. Well, it's possible if the Hitmen win this series then go on to win the WHL. If the Hitmen lose this series, the Western Conference winner will be guaranteed a berth in the Memorial Cup and the Hitmen will be done.

The Junior Hockey Junkies have taken over the Riverstone Pub on 14th and Northmount in the NW if anyone wants to head down for game 4 tonight. Puck drop is at 6:00pm.

The Wheat Kings are so good they can win two games in 60 minutes.

Sorry, wasn't intended as such. To me that first round really seemed like a big brother/little brother matchup where the big brother wasn't taking it seriously until he realized he was pinned, and turned it on at will and pulled out the win.

My point is that the Hitmen could afford to fall behind 3-1 and still win the series against Moose Jaw, but can ill afford to give Brandon any slack.

So much for playing better. Hitmen were easily the second best team on the ice to start the game and ended up down 2-0 less than three minutes in.

Interestingly, Hayes is in net for Brandon instead of De Serres.

Ugh. Calgary is letting Brandon beat them right now. No hustle, no desire and no teamwork. Buncha idiots playing scared.

The PP has been really pathetic for the Hitmen in Brandon. Just blew a long 5-3 PP w/o getting any shots. Good opportunity to get back in it before the end of the first period blown.

Very typical of this series so far, the Hitmen have come out strong in the 2nd and have taken the lead, 3-2. Typical in the sense of each period seems to have a different team playing well.

Hitmen starting to skate and compete this period. Now the Hitmen lead 3-2.

I just don't know what to make of this series anymore, lol. Brandon really relaxed to start the second, and Calgary scored three quick goals to start the middle frame.

The momentum swings in this series have been ridiculous!

Brandon has played so sloppy all series long I don't even know what to think anymore. It's like they have trouble completing anything tape to tape and if you can't get a decent rush started against a team like Calgary you're never going to beat them.

And someone get Glennie's picture on a milk box. He has been invisible all series (playoffs).

I think both teams bread and butter is being faster than their opposition. Problem here is that neither team is noticeably faster, so both sides are getting frustrated in that they can't do what they want to. I think that frustration has affected the teams at times, leading to their opposition just dominating for a while.

Through three games and 40 minutes, we've had a bit more fortune than Brandon, but the way things have gone, either team could easily have been looking at closing out the series tonight if they had an additional bounce or two.

Brandon dominates to start the third - 9-0 shots for the Wheaties, then Calgary gets one chance and a weak one goes in. Fiddler with another huge goal.

4-2.

More lucky than weak since it went off a skate. I'll take it.

Whoo. Hitmen win 4-3. Take a 3-1 series lead. Probably fortunate to win both games in Brandon. Goaltending was the difference in the last two games.
