That was a really good Jeopardy today. I’m really surprised only one of the three got final right considering that it seemed relatively easy, esspecially the returning champion as he’d been money up to now. But I guess it was one of those clues that seems more obvious in hindsight or if you know it right away. I love seeing people from third place win.
I watched the British Jeopardy and the show was horribly annoying. Stephen Fry spent the whole time looking down. And there’s way way too much editorializing from both Fry and the contestants it’s infuriating.
Pop Culture Jeopardy.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what *it* was. Now what I'm with isn't *it*, and what's *it* seems weird and scary to me.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Agreed, just awful and slow. Fry spent too much time explaining questions and the game play, Final Jeopardy, didn't go to a break so we watched the contestants choosing their wagers.
That was a great game. Hopefully the rest of the tournament is good.
Bad betting in final jeopardy
The guy in second makes a wager that isn’t quite enough to take the lead if he’s right
Didn’t matter ultimately but I didn’t understand the strategy at all
Dude in 2nd place going into FJ had $18,600 to the leader’s ~$25K. He goes all in and misses it. If he wagers just zero, he would’ve gotten in as a wild card.
Now the competitors are sequestered during prior games, so he couldn’t have been 100% sure it would’ve held up, but if he watches other tournaments, then about $15K is pretty safe to get a wild card slot. Tough loss.

So I'm in LA this week and at the hotel I'm at, there is a ton of former champs staying here. They must be filming the TOC or something this week. They were having a big party in the lounge tonight. It was pretty cool to see dozens of them altogether having fun together.
