Hahaha DePaul hit by the exploding ball of doom there. How will he ever recover?
Pathetic

Man, i'd like Canada to be rough going forward. The game is over. Time to be dicks.

Nah, can’t get suspensions ahead of the third place match. That’s another huge match for this program and the growth of this team

Kone brought the yellow on himself by kicking the ball at De Paul’s back right in front of the referee. No discipline.

Of course he did, I’m amazed that De Paul doesn’t need spinal surgery though after that brutal blow.

Age has really caught up with Messi but tbh he deserves to be carried by his national team after being let down so often for most of his career. He shouldn’t be a starter in the next world cup but who knows

Not the result I wanted obviously, but playing the defending World Cup champions in front of over 80,000 fans and millions more watching worldwide. That's pretty special.

Oh man surely it's gotta be 2-1 with an open shot from there... not many chances but Canada's finishing has been dire
Edit oh man and another completely wide open shot missed

4 minutes only? Seemed like at least 10 minutes in delays. Davis alone was probably 6.

Tani looks good out there. So does Ahmed. Ali Ahmed, from playing at Spruce Meadows two months ago to playing against Messi and friends. Pretty cool
So proud of the team. Only really had one breakdown and Alvarez punished them. They can be proud of holding their own. Now just to take our shots and not turn half chances into nothing

Canada can be proud. Played some good football - just lacking a bit of quality when it mattered. They are a pretty good team these days and no-one will take them lightly.

Similar to the first game, outclassed but not embarrassed. No reason to hang our heads, and onto another huge game.

Bit similar to the first game they played vs Argentina. Chances were there but not clinical enough. Developing a top level striker is one of the hardest positions to develop. David seems to have stagnated in his development but hopefully he can sort himself out. Larin is what he is at this point, and thats a lot better than we had before, but a top quality striker is sorely needed. All in all still a great tournament and a huge step for Canada.
Hopefully the Argentine fans don’t flood the Canadian players DM’s with racist messages again, but thats expecting too much from them i’d imagine
