Hat Trick from Iggy and Shut out for Luongo Never thought I'd see both on the same night!

Great all around effort from ALL the guys! Go Canada Go!

Luongo played a good game, the only thing I didn't want him doing was embellishing, and he didn't.

The Luuu chant is annoying as hell, but it is 100% out of his hands, you can't fault the guy for that.

A Luongo shutout and a Iginla hat trick in the same game is just weird.

Fat chance.. he's not winning any games. He needed to keep the goals down. Norway needs to somehow finish ahead of Latvia and Germany.. 8-0 doesn't help.

I think Drew Doughty might be one of the top 3 defenceman in the world.
This guy is unreal. What patience.

I thought the Anaheim forwards were good.

Iginla....Wow. Great to see the Vancouver fans throwing hats on the ice!

Yup. Gets slotted in on the 4th line to start the game and takes it all with a smile. Works hard, throws his body around and gets promoted to the top line and proceeds to score 3.

Guess timbit can't make any first line cracks tonight.

Thats a great start for the tournament. They took a period to click, but I like that they had Norway as a first opponent to have the time to get their lines set and some chemistry going. Not that beating Norway is a sure thing, but it would certainly not be as difficult as facing one of the top ranked teams.

The top line was amazing, and I like the Shark line. I wasn't too impressed with Boyle, but maybe he'll get stronger.

I'm getting pumped for the games coming up now!

They just interviewed Iginla on NBC. He was happy to be playing with Crosby and said "It's easy when you are playing with the best player in the world". Iginla is a good guy.

If it wasn't for Luongo holding the Norweigans to 0 goals in the 1st, things may have looked different.

Oh, also - Sutter would be lucky to get a mid-first round pick and one or two overpaid players for Iginla!! LOL!

I think Iginla likes being the shooter on a line. He is good at finding the shooting lanes - like Heatley does.
